South African kids between the ages of 9 and 14 are most likely to die by drowning. This is because their family and friends
simply stand around and panic while they wait for an ambulance.
WaterWise workshops teach kids what to do in an emergency, how to check if their friend is breathing and most importantly how
to breathe for their buddy until the paramedics arrive.
WaterWise does not teach kids to swim - WaterWise teaches kids to be sensible. The coolest kids are the ones who can get
themselves out of trouble. Be a hero - learn CPR.
WaterWise began as the education arm of the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) and is a Section 21, not-for-profit organisation.
